Good Samaritan Match for Basic Needs
In recent months, your Community Foundation has only been able to fund about 25% of the competitive grant requests we’ve received from area nonprofits that serve struggling families, children, and individuals. Your donation to the Good Samaritan Match for Basic Needs will be strategically directed to those agencies that are working tirelessly to provide relief and support to those who need it most in our communities.
With your support, organizations like those listed below can continue their vital work, ensuring that our neighbors have access to the basic necessities required for survival:
Food Assistance: Your contribution can provide nutritious meals and groceries to families facing hunger.
Housing and Shelter: Your support can offer temporary shelter and housing solutions to individuals and families without a place to call home.
Clothing and Essentials: You can ensure that people have access to warm clothing, personal hygiene items, and other essential supplies.
You have the power to keep your impact local. When making your gift, you can choose from the Carl Ives Fund for People in Need in Oshkosh, the Winneconne Basic Needs Fund, or the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund that will be expanding to serve the City of Ripon as well as Green Lake County in 2024.

MATCH GRANT DETAILS
After December 31, 2023, the Community Foundation will determine each fund’s proportionate share of the $25,000 Good Samaritan Match by dividing the total amount each fund raised by the total amount raised by all three funds (Carl Ives Fund for People in Need in Oshkosh, the Winneconne Basic Needs Fund, and the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund). This amount will then be multiplied by the total amount of matching funds.
For example, if a fund receives 20% of the total amount of money donated before the end of the year, that same fund will receive 20% of the available matching funds or $5,000.
