RUDOY AWARDS FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

Edward and Belle Rudoy established a permanent endowment with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation in 1996 with the mission to support teachers in their efforts to provide the best possible education for children.

TEACHER AWARDS
The Rudoys will select, in alternating years, teachers from public and parochial middle and high schools to receive a monetary award to be used for either their own professional development or for a specific program or project in their classrooms.
Geographic scope: Public and parochial schools within geographic borders of the Oshkosh Area School District
Range of monetary award: Awards typically range from $500 to $1,000
Nomination deadline: February 15, 2013
Decisions: Week of February 25, 2013

AWARD CRITERIA
  • Teacher demonstrates innovative or creative classroom methods
  • Teacher involved in extracurricular activities for students
  • Teacher involved in the community
Awards alternate between middle and high school teachers. In even years (2010, 2012, 2014, etc.), high school teachers are nominated. In odd years (2011, 2013, 2015), middle school teachers are nominated.
